MEET YOUR DOULA
Hi, I’m Sarah! I am a wife, a mother of three and a follower of Christ. My passion for birth stems from my own childbirth experiences. When I was pregnant with my first I was not educated or informed and I just went with the flow. I was induced for no medical reason which led to the cascade of interventions which ended with me getting a cesarean. With my second I was more prepared and wanted to have a natural, vaginal birth. I was seeing a hospital midwife until I switched to a home birth midwife at 36 weeks pregnant. It was a challenge and a wild ride, and my midwife missed the birth but I got my vaginal birth after
cesarean at home! With my third we did not hire a midwife at all and the whole experience was truly incredible. My births have had a major impact of me and have helped shape me into the woman and mother I am today. A fire has been lit inside my soul and I have a profound desire to support, hold space and walk with women during this sacred, transformational time of pregnancy and birth.
